The first speaker is Nick Kissack. He is a UK and EU equity portfolio manager at Schroders. You will also have a chance to listen to David Buik who is a financial commentator. Arnab Das will also join the discussion. He is the Head of Global Strategy EMEA at Invesco. The last one on the list of guests is Bryn Jones. He is the Head of Fixed Income for Rathbones and is the lead manager on the Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund and the Rathbone Strategic Bond Fund.
Last year was special. Both bonds and equities performed poorly and lost more than 10% throughout 2022. It is a very rare situation. It happened previously almost 100 years ago – in 1931. 2022 was also a year of rising inflation, surging energy prices, and continued political unrest. Moreover, many central banks were increasing interest rates. European Central Bank and Bank of Japan did it in such a decisive way that surprised many investors.
